Second Annual AimHire Bowling Night

Recently, AimHire celebrated our annual bowling night at Moe’s BBQ. We laughed, ate some great BBQ, and bowled some spectacular games. Instead of the Downtown office versus the DTC office, we switched it up and drew teams randomly from a hat. We formulated three teams this year, as an alternative for the two teams from the previous year.

Jordyn, our in-house bowling pro, was a key player to bring her team to the top of the ranks. She, along with Alyssa, Cory and Kara rightfully gained bragging rights by beating out the other teams by almost 200 points! Regardless of the scores, we all had a fantastic time enjoying each other’s company outside of work. I, being the new addition to the office, got to see the cohesiveness of the group outside of the day to day work setting. I have been accepted into the AimHire family without a stitch. We work hard and we like to reward ourselves with a day of fun here and there. It’s a phenomenal feeling to be a part of a successful business working towards a single goal; to bring you, future candidates, a new, more enjoyable staffing experience.

Stay tuned for our next great adventure!

AimHire Makes Denver Business Journal's Top 20 List

We are pleased to announce that AimHire has been ranked as one of the top 20 local staffing agencies by the Denver Business Journal! After only four years, we have risen in the ranks to stand side by side with some of the largest agencies in the nation. Out of over 200 agencies, we ranked #13 for temporary staffing and #16 for permanent placements. We are very proud of our achievements, but we couldn’t be where we are today without all of our incredible clients and candidates. Thank you all very much for your business in 2014 and your continued support. We look forward to further growth and success in the future!

Introducing Carrie Pine!

AimHire is in constant motion, and sometimes it’s hard to keep up with all of the exciting changes here in the office! Over the next two weeks, we will introduce three new staff members to you. Today, we are excited to announce our new Staffing Coordinator for the DTC office, Carrie Pine!

Carrie is a 2013 graduate from York College in York, Nebraska. She worked as a Chiropractic Assistant for a year before joining our team early this year. Now, she is the first point of contact for our office, providing excellent customer service for clients and candidates alike. She also supports the entire DTC team with a variety of Human Resources and administrative responsibilities. She has hit the ground running with her role, and we are excited to have her as a member of the team!

Carrie is a Colorado native and loyal fan of all local sports teams. She enjoys playing soccer, traveling, running, and snowboarding. Her favorite season is winter, and she knows how to appreciate a good steak dinner and chocolate dessert. She has been married for two years to her high school sweetheart and loves spending time with her family, including her 4 siblings and her husband’s 7 siblings.

Welcome, Carrie! We are so happy to have you on board.

Finding the Perfect Fit

When we show up to work every day, our goal is to connect great people with great companies. For us, success isn’t just about finding good people to fill open roles with our clients; we also want our candidates to find opportunities that are a great fit for them. If you work with us, we are dedicated to ensuring that your time with AimHire does more than just pay the bills. We want the opportunities we provide to open doors for you to pursue your passions and your goals. Whether we connect you directly to your dream job or help you gain the experience you need to break into a new position or industry, it matters to us that your work here is a step in the right direction. Our staffing managers are experts at finding that perfect fit, and our ability to create win-win scenarios is what keeps our clients coming back year after year. It also inspires our candidates to write emails like this one:

"First I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at AimHire. It has been a pleasure working with such professionals. I will always be grateful for this experience. However, due to a new opportunity at my dream job, I will be unable to accept further temporary assignments.

I am in the process of enlisting in the United States Army to work for the greatest country on earth. I ship out to basic training in March. I wanted to let you all know as soon as I could so you would not be contacting me for a project when someone else is ready to take it. I really appreciate the service you provide for both businesses and contractors.

     Thanks again,
     K.Gibson"

This candidate has done an incredible job for us over the past few months, and we are sad to see him go, but it’s wonderful that he has discovered his dream job. We are thankful for his hard work and willingness to serve our country in this way, and we wish him all the best!

AimHire's Employee of the Month: Ashley Landis!

Congratulations to Ashley Landis, AimHire’s Employee of the Month!

Ashley’s Story: Ashley graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. Before joining the AimHire team, Ashley gained incredible experience as a Judicial Assistant for the State of Colorado’s 2nd Judicial District. Ashley began an assignment as an HR Assistant for one of our client companies in late November – in just two months, she has proven herself to be an excellent member of the team. We are grateful for Ashley’s hard work, and we are excited to see what doors will open for her in the future!

AimHire’s growth means that we have more opportunities available and are able to bring more incredible people like Ashley on board! Cheers to an even better 2015 for all of our clients and employees!

Home on the Range

When the National Western Stock Show comes into town, the AimHire team shows up big. Cory hails from Cleveland originally, but as you can see here, he is embracing everything wonderful about Colorado. Nothing says “home on the range” like a beautiful Longhorn bull!

AimHire has always been local. We started here in Denver, and we know the job market, our clients, and our city. We are proud to call Denver home! We are also excited that Cory is bringing AimHire’s unique brand of service to the technical sector, and we have no doubt that HireTech will thrive in its first full year. If you are a company in need of excellent IT talent or a jobseeker looking for a great new opportunity, keep us in mind!

Winter Wonderland Wednesday

Yesterday, the downtown office pranced (literally) into the DTC office to celebrate the holiday season! Dressed in holiday socks and representing Santa and his reindeer, we joined the rest of our team to enjoy delicious snacks and a white elephant gift exchange. A Broncos scarf, Colorado hat, cooler chair, and set of hiking books were the most stolen items, quickly making it clear that AimHire is a loyal fan of two things: Colorado and sports. We love them even more than chocolate! We also buy great gifts and make even better food.

We hope that you are also enjoying this wonderful time of year!

Announcing AimHire's Newest Division!

Nearly every month of 2014 has brought something new to AimHire - more companies have recognized and begun to utilize our unique services, and many more staff members have joined our team. After so much growth, AimHire was perfectly positioned to take its services to a whole new level! Last month, we launched HireTech, a new division that will bring our personalized, effective process to the technical sector.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The AimHire team wishes all of you a Happy Thanksgiving! We look forward to serving you during this holiday season.

How to Create a Great Resume

When you’re searching for new opportunities, it’s very tempting to create one resume you submit to every position you find interesting. It saves time and energy, and when you’re applying for multiple positions, it seems like the most efficient option. From the perspective of the recruiters reading your resume, though, this approach could be hurting you.

Generic resumes are useful in situations where you would like to be considered for a variety of opportunities. Your LinkedIn profile, for example, should cover all of your experience and skills. When you are applying for a specific position, though, you have about two seconds to get your recruiter’s attention. They will decide almost instantly whether they think you’re a fit or not. With that in mind, a tailored resume could be the determining factor in whether or not you get the phone call you’re hoping for.
